empower create First-Sync Package

At this point, we would like to provide you with a brief guide on how to create a first sync package for empower:

Packet creation:

To create the package you need to be a CD administrator (you can use the "empower Database Wizard" for this).
The following registry entry must be created:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Made in Office\empower]

"IsFirstSyncEnabled"="1"

Afterwards, a FirstSync can be started via the system tray icon (Windows taskbar) of the empower sync.

FirstSync Location:

For the client to use the First Sync, the following must apply:

No SDF must be present
The following registry entry, with the location of the package, must be created:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Made in Office\empower\Core]

"FirstSyncPackageLocation"="[Location]"

Or

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Made in Office\empower\Core]

"FirstSyncPackageLocation"="[Location]"

The finished package is a file called empower.epk

The First-Sync package can be used for empower enterprise and empower library. This reduces the initial sync to the delta between the package and the database.
