empower® cannot connect to the database

Please check that the connection data (connection string and possibly credentials) are stored in the Windows registry. These should be found in one of the following registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Made in Office\empower\Core\],


[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Made in Office\empower\Core\].

If the connection data is available, you should check whether the specified Server (Data Source) and the database (Initial Catalog) are correct. Furthermore you should check if any firewall settings prevent the communication with the database server, or if the current user does not have sufficient permissions to connect to the database.
